That awkward space between reality and reality television.

I bet you thought I had forgotten about this thing. Well...I suppose I had. But here are a few thoughts to get you somewhat caught up on the past 3 months.

I joined Netflix and highly recommend it to everyone (possibly a major reason I have not posted in so long). It has given me a chance to catch up on all the movies that I feel like I should've seen but never get around to renting. Although there is a part of me that misses wandering aimlessly around VisArt for 45 minutes trying to find their missing copy of The Warriors.

The NYC job hunt produced one close call, but it looks like I will be staying in Chapel Hill for at least another season. However, I could be getting the 'Assistant' lopped off my title. So I've got that going for me....which is nice.

I was shocked, as we all were, by the tragic death of Marissa Cooper during the season finale of The O.C., but not as shocked as I've been by the number of people I've talked to who say they are glad she is dead. Come on people, that's a little harsh.

I've been watching this video over and over: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ImfDX4S75pM&search=carrboro

Carolina baseball gave me a reason to forget how terrible the Cubs are this year. But now that the College World Series is over, I can't wait for football season. Somehow I always feel ridiculous when people ask me if I know any of the UNC players and I have to say, no, but I know several of their parents.

I'm already starting to receive emails from people wanting to work in the box office next school year. Further proof that I am the coolest work-study boss on campus...or at least the most delusional.

I think Benji and I owe the state of Maryland $2.

I think I'm going to take up umpiring youth league games again....and tap dancing.

And because you are all dying to know:
Grades for the 2006 movies I've seen so far:
V for Vendetta A-
Thank You For Smoking B+
X-Men: The Last Stand D
A Prairie Home Companion B

I may update again soon. I may not. So, enjoy this post to the fullest.
